This lecture clarifies the distinction between Allah’s personal name and His attributes. It explains that ‘Allah’ is the sole proper name, while all other names found in the Quran represent divine attributes. By removing the definite article and adding *tanween*, names transform into descriptive qualities. For example, ‘Al-Qadir’ is a name, but ‘Qadir’ or ‘Qadeer’ is an attribute. Similarly, ‘Al-‘Alim’ is a name, while ‘Alim’ or ‘‘Aleem’ is a quality. Essentially, names serve as indicators of a being, and Allah's personal name is unique.

Every Muslim, regardless of location or majority/minority status, has fundamental duties transcending time and space. These encompass complete devotion and obedience to God, fueled by love. Beyond personal worship, believers are obligated to actively invite others to the faith, promoting good and forbidding evil. The highest level of responsibility is establishing religion as a complete system of life, fostering a just and righteous society. This lecture details the levels of religious obligation for every believer.

Those close to God experience no fear or grief. Fear stems from what God wills, and even seemingly undesirable events contain hidden benefits. The Quran highlights that what we dislike may be good, and what we desire may be harmful, as God’s knowledge surpasses our own. We perceive only the outward appearance of actions and events, unaware of the divine intention and wisdom behind them. Our vision is limited; we cannot comprehend the ultimate purpose of God. Therefore, we are easily affected by superficial occurrences. True understanding lies in recognizing God’s overarching plan, which remains beyond our immediate perception.

Everyone is susceptible to error, whether through momentary lapses in judgment, the influence of negative companionship, or impulsive actions. The core message is that faith provides a pathway to immediate repentance. Delaying repentance is detrimental. Allah SWT has explicitly taken responsibility for accepting the sincere repentance of those who, despite momentary weakness, turn back to Him with genuine remorse. The Quranic verse from Surah Dasa highlights Allah’s commitment to accepting the repentance of those who sincerely seek forgiveness. True repentance guarantees acceptance and a fresh start.

Many people follow religious scholars, and had these scholars guided the nation correctly, the current system would not have persisted. These scholars wasted their influence by participating in political games, shifting alliances and constantly changing sides. This pursuit consumed valuable time that could have benefited the nation. Furthermore, even sincere scholars, when demanding change, have focused on Islamic law, not a complete Islamic system.

Goodness is fundamentally linked to faith, not merely action. True goodness originates from an internal state of belief. Every act has both an external manifestation and an internal motivation. The core of a good deed lies in the intention behind it—the desire to please God and attain His blessings. Faith fosters both positive motivation to do good and negative motivation to avoid evil. Love for God and the fear of His punishment drive righteous behavior. Belief in the afterlife—heaven and hell—further strengthens these motivations, prompting individuals to seek reward and avoid condemnation. Thus, faith is the driving force behind genuine goodness and moral conduct.
