The completion of the illumination of *tawheed* and the fulfillment of its purpose remain ongoing tasks. True faith is deeply rooted conviction in the heart—belief in God, His attributes, His presence and knowledge, life after death, accountability, reward and punishment, Paradise and Hell, angels, divine revelation, scriptures, prophets, messengers, and the finality of the prophethood of Muhammad, peace be upon him. This conviction is the foundation of a meaningful life.

True worship begins with obedience, but its essence is love. Obedience is the visible form, while love is the underlying spirit. Complete obedience to Allah involves total submission at all times. The path to Allah's obedience is through obedience to His Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him). One must strive to reach a level of devotion where the Prophet is more beloved than one's parents and children, and all of mankind. This devotion is a prerequisite for true faith. Without this level of love for the Prophet, all other actions are meaningless.

Salvation is contingent upon a combination of four essential elements: faith, righteous deeds, consistently speaking the truth, and patience. Without fulfilling these conditions, one remains in loss.
