The Quran states that this world will flourish through the blessing of *tawheed* (oneness of God). The purpose of Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) prophethood was to serve as a bearer of glad tidings and a warning to all of humanity. The completion of the illumination of *tawheed* and the fulfillment of its purpose remain ongoing tasks. This lecture emphasizes the enduring relevance of this message and the continuing need to strive for its realization.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) observed Tarawih prayers individually for only three nights, leading an eight-rak’ah congregation. He performed these prayers after the Tahajjud prayers. The practice of offering twenty rak’ahs in congregation did not exist during the Prophet’s era or the caliphate of Abu Bakr. It began during the caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab, who standardized the practice after observing fragmented congregations in the mosque. He instituted a system of twenty rak’ahs to be performed immediately after Isha, led by a single imam.

This is a natural phenomenon, similar to how heat radiates from a furnace or cold emanates from ice. Just as sitting near a furnace brings warmth without effort, associating with people of certainty cultivates faith within oneself. This process of acquiring conviction occurs passively through companionship, mirroring the principle that love begets love. The effect of being around those with strong faith is that it strengthens one's own belief.

The lecture clarifies that the good deeds earned through patience will be transferred to those who wronged you, while their sins will be deducted from your account on the Day of Judgment. Therefore, one should not abandon fulfilling their familial obligations and should actively resist the urge to cut ties, even in the face of adversity.
