This lecture explores the concept of reward in relation to individual capacity and inherent difficulties. It highlights that a single act of goodness, achieved despite significant internal obstacles, can be more valuable in the eyes of God than numerous acts performed with ease. The lecture emphasizes that Divine assessment considers the effort and struggle behind an action, not merely its quantity. It suggests that genuine achievement lies in overcoming personal limitations to perform even a small good deed. The relative ease with which some individuals accomplish good deeds does not diminish the importance of striving for goodness despite personal challenges.

Worship should ideally be performed for the pleasure of God, though seeking salvation from hell and entry into paradise is also commendable. While avoiding punishment and attaining heaven are positive goals, prioritizing God’s pleasure is superior. It is not wrong to ask for protection from hell and request paradise, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself made these supplications. However, the ultimate aim should be to seek God’s approval above all else.

It is a universally acknowledged truth that among all books claiming divine origin or containing the word of the universe’s creator, only the Quran maintains complete textual integrity. No other scripture has remained fully preserved in its original form. All other claimed divine texts have undergone alterations or lack complete historical corroboration of their original content. This lecture details the unique preservation of the Quran.

This lecture emphasizes the twin virtues of patience (sabr) and reliance on God (tawakkul) as fundamental principles for navigating life’s challenges. It stresses complete surrender to divine will, rejecting self-reliance on personal abilities, intelligence, or qualifications. True strength lies in enduring hardship with patience and placing unwavering trust in God’s plan. The core message advocates for abandoning dependence on one’s own efforts and instead, cultivating a complete and absolute trust in Allah for all outcomes.
