The history of Islam doesn't begin solely with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ; its origins trace back to Prophet Adam. While the historical details from Adam to Moses are less preserved, the Israelites represent the first nation to emerge on the world stage. According to available knowledge, the Israelites were the first nation, and the final nation is the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ. This lecture explores the historical lineage of Islam, emphasizing its continuity from the earliest prophets to the final messenger.

Human beings can attain knowledge of fundamental truths about the universe through their innate nature (sound disposition) and sound intellect, without requiring external revelation. A pure nature, free from corruption, combined with an intellect unburdened by arrogance or prejudice, allows one to perceive the existence of a Creator. This Creator possesses all attributes of perfection, is free from all flaws, and is the ultimate Sustainer. This inherent understanding arises from self-reflection and rational thought, guiding individuals to recognize the divine through their own faculties.

Historically, the prevailing scientific understanding, rooted in Newtonian physics, posited an eternal and indestructible universe. However, modern physics has established that the universe had a definite beginning, known as the Big Bang. This event, occurring billions of years ago, marked the creation of the universe from an extremely dense and hot state. This represents a fundamental shift in cosmological understanding.

The earliest form of worship was standing in prayer at night, initially for two-thirds, then one-third of the night, with recitation of the Quran. At that time, only a portion of the Quran had been revealed. Later, during the eleventh year, five daily prayers were mandated in Makkah. Before this, practices like fasting, interest, gambling, and alcohol were not prohibited. There was no complete established Sharia law; only faith (Iman) existed.
