Sectarian divisions will be the greatest obstacle in elections, as voters are compelled to choose based on perceived Islamic affiliation. A unified front against a common enemy, specifically a call for *jihad* against opposition, offers a path to overcome these divisions. This will force all sects—Shia, Sunni, Barelvi, Ahl-e-Hadith, Deobandi—to recognize their shared Islamic identity and unite. While this approach involves risk of life and property, it presents a powerful solution to sectarianism. It will compel them to separate their symbols, their poets, and to categorize their followers, but it is a difficult path.
