We live under the illusion of possessing faith when, in reality, we hold mere beliefs passed down through generations, a bundle of inherited convictions stored within our communities. True faith, or *iman*, is characterized by certain knowledge—knowledge of certainty, experiential certainty, and the certainty of truth. This certainty is a connection, a realization of being observed by God, a presence felt deeply. It encompasses belief in life after death, in Paradise and Hell, and the fundamental truth that true life resides in the afterlife.
God dispatched messengers with clear miracles and revealed scriptures, including the ‘Mizan’ (scale of justice), to establish justice among people. The purpose of prophets, messengers, and the revelation of books is fundamentally to guide humanity toward equitable conduct and a just society. This lecture explores the divine rationale behind these actions and their impact on human existence.
God states that direct communication is possible without intermediaries. Acceptance of His commands and adherence to His teachings are essential for answered prayers. He is ever-forgiving and accepts repentance. God responds to every call for help, but requires obedience, attentive listening, sincere belief, and practical implementation of His guidance. He is the most merciful and responds to those who turn to Him with sincerity and commitment.
This lecture explores the concept of free will and its implications. Humans experience freedom in this world, but are accountable for their actions. The material laws of this world do not immediately punish wrongdoing, creating a false sense of impunity. However, the ultimate return is to God, where every deed, no matter how small, will be accounted for. Those who perform even a speck of good will find it before them, and those who commit even a speck of evil will also face its consequences. This emphasizes divine accountability and the importance of righteous conduct despite the apparent lack of immediate consequences.

It argues that media outlets, especially those controlled by specific interests, shape public opinion and restrict independent thought. The Quran refers to Allah as 'Mawla'. Some people address respected scholars as 'Maulana' as a sign of reverence. This lecture clarifies that using the term 'Maulana' is not shirk (associating partners with God). The word 'Mawla' has multiple meanings: master, helper, and even a freed slave. It’s a term of respect, similar to addressing someone as 'my master', and its use is permissible. Both 'Maulana' (plural) and 'Maulvi' (singular) convey the same meaning: ‘our master.’ Showing respect to others is not an act of shirk.
