During the days of Hajj, the Prophet Muhammad encountered six individuals from the Khazraj tribe. These men had heard rumors from Jewish communities that the final prophet would appear among them and that they would ultimately defeat their enemies. They had consistently lost conflicts with Jewish communities. When invited to Islam by the Prophet, they recognized the fulfillment of these prophecies and immediately accepted the faith, fearing being left behind when the Jews converted. This event demonstrates the power of divine guidance and the swift acceptance of truth by those destined to believe.

We live under the illusion of possessing faith when, in reality, we hold mere beliefs passed down through generations, a bundle of inherited convictions stored within our communities. True faith, or *iman*, is characterized by certain knowledge—knowledge of certainty, experiential certainty, and the certainty of truth. This certainty is a connection, a realization of being observed by God, a presence felt deeply. It encompasses belief in life after death, in Paradise and Hell, and the fundamental truth that true life resides in the afterlife.

People are preoccupied with worldly pursuits and earning a livelihood, dedicating all their time and energy to material gains. They are consumed by the responsibilities of maintaining a certain lifestyle and upholding appearances. This dedication leaves them with no time for spiritual reflection or meaningful pursuits beyond the immediate demands of daily life. They are driven by a constant need to accumulate wealth and are trapped in a cycle of work and consumption, prioritizing worldly achievements over inner peace and fulfillment. Their energies are fully invested in these activities, leaving no space for introspection or devotion.
